"Three years ago, when I was studying in the United States, my mother lived alone in Hong Kong. One day, I received a message from her: Bush had passed away. Bush had been her companion for nearly a decade, like an intimate friend. I could imagine and feel her grief. (Bush was an adorable Labrador Retriever.) When I looked at the many photos of her and Bush, I thought the best way to honor their beautiful memories and time together was to create something special, just for her and Bush. I tried many things—bracelets, necklaces, pendants, rings, clothing, bags, and totes. Ultimately, I chose hair claws and designed a set for her, featuring Bush's various charming expressions and poses." — Doris Yamashita

This story is the inspiration behind our brand and is brimming with emotion. We firmly believe that precious moments and genuine moments can be expressed in the most beautiful way. Thus, we invited Doris Yamashita to serve as our chief designer and established NUESHINY—a Hong Kong-based brand with production facilities and warehouses in Guangzhou and Vietnam.
NUESHINY, rooted in the concepts of love and warmth, designs hair clips and offers personalized customization services. Our hair clips serve not only as adornments but also as shimmering memories that bring warmth and comfort to your heart.
In 2019, Doris Yamashita studied art design and fashion design at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Maryland, USA. Her creativity and passion have shaped NUESHINY and granted our brand a unique identity.
At NUESHINY, we firmly believe that precious memories and heartfelt moments can be expressed in the most beautiful way. Our hair clips are not just accessories; they are symbols of emotion, preserving the warmth of cherished memories.
We are also committed to sustainability. Our products and packaging prioritize materials that are recyclable, reusable, compostable, or biodegradable. Most of our hair clips are crafted from cellulose acetate, a flexible and durable material that is petroleum-free, made from cotton, wood, and pulp.
But our commitment doesn't stop there. We are proud to partner with One Tree Planted, a renowned 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. We pledge to plant a minimum of 1,000 trees each year. Trees purify our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, enhance our health and well-being, and generate jobs with social impact.
