I bought this as a gift for my coworker who is a fish biologist. She loved it! It's very sturdy; the acetate is thick and sparkly and the spring seems stronger than the typical clips you would buy at the drugstore. It's not exceptionally large; it might not hold up a full head of very thick hair but it can definitely hold a half-up half-down or all of shorter/finer hair.
it’s so cute! i got so many compliments on it, and it’s so shiny! only complaint is its hard to open because of the size/angle of the spikes. still, so worth it!
