They are pretty sturdy for my hair type in hair texture. I have super thick curly natural textured hair.
They are as large as they claim, so be sure to check if they're too large for you (or your kid). They're perfect as a single accent piece on a grown head. 5 of the set are bobby pins which aren't useful to me, but the value on the rest of them is still totally worth it. The alligator clips are very strong, but that's better than too loose as they'll only loosen over time. Pleasantly surprised how good these are.
